Everybody is looking for a "silver lining"

I saw this article in the Guardian.co.uk called "There's a silver lining to Google's cloud computing glitch". It talks about the Gmail outage that happened last week that seems to have affected almost all Gmail users, include moi. These are not just the free loaders like me, but also the Google Premium Users who pay for email service.

It talks about how people are becoming depending on these "cloud" services offered by the Google and other companies like Amazon. Not only individuals like most of us but companies like Twitter!

"Cloud computing may be a great idea in principle. But it might not be wise to bet the ranch on it... If the shock of the Google and Amazon outages has prompted companies to review their strategies on the use of cloud computing services, then the inconvenience will have been worth it."

Well, everyone seems to be looking for the "SILVER LINING" in everything nowadays. I started to noticed it in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. Here are some more:

This is all within the last 24 hours or so. We human are all so hopeful and optimistic! Check out this link to a Google News search for "silver lining".
